Launched in 2003 with cooperative efforts between Marc Jacobs and Japanese pop artist Takashi Murakami, the Murakami canvas comes in a white or black background. The multicolore canvas took on several different forms amongst which was the classic Keepall 45.
Measuring 17.7″ x 10.6″ x 7.9″, the Keepall 45 is the smallest of the classic Louis Vuitton Keepall range that was launched in 1924. The largest of this range is the Keepall 60 in chocolate brown Monogram Canvas at 23.6″ x 13″ x 10.2″.
Usually more popular with men as it doubles up as an overnight, weekend handcarry or sports bag, the Murakami version of the Keepall that was available for a limited period of time between 2004 and 2005 was one for the hearts of women!
Featuring bright multi logo prints coupled with biker chic gold stud details, you have the quintessential Japanese hard candy lolita captured in the essence of this bag.
The bag features two front pockets, removable keys, locks and a travel tag. The interior is of one large compartment, lined in the softest red alcantara.
On its practical uses, the bag is hand carried and while one can certainly pack a lot into this bag and the handles sturdy enough to hold the weight, this is not a bag for those who dislike the inconvenience of lugging things around handheld.
Socially, it’s a sharp looking bag that can start any conversation whilst on your weekend getaways or your travels and the bright bouncy prints certainly adds to the holiday mood that you’re already in when carrying this bag.
