Just across Paragon, Orchard Road, Singapore
It’s more than a month to go before Christmas itself but the festive cheer is already in the air for cities around the world! And I’m loving it!
A few pictures here of this year’s Christmas lightup along Orchard Road, Singapore. These were sent over to me from my girl friend, Angie; pictures taken on her mobile phone.

Singapore is definitely a busy city, still romance never slips and it warms the heart to see couples in the crowd, walking arm in arm.
Looking at how the people in the pictures are dressing – downright casual in shorts and t-shirt – I’ve almost forgotten the searing tropical heat in Singapore. Coupled with a constant high humidity, I think slippers, cotton shorts and a sleeveless t-shirt will do well to manage the weather.

In Sweden, Gothenburg, Liseberg has lit up too and here’s a picture of what it looks like. A different texture / atmosphere from the pictures above, with one and the same – Christmas spirit! Alright, commercialism is always thrown in somewhere. But the lights certainly put smiles on our faces!
Christmas at Liseberg, Gothenburg, Sweden
Perhaps one thing does come through in the pictures, between the Singapore Christmas and the Swedish Christmas atmosphere and that is – the greater silence and quiet in Sweden?
